Doctor Edwards did my hip replacement surgery from start to finish? He and Martha, Jefferson, pantops and Charlottesville were 5 star performers. I was so impressed with the quality of care. That I got at Martha Jefferson and of course from Doctor Edwards that I wrote a letter to the CEO. I was greeted as soon as I entered the clinic. Check in was fast. People were friendly. I was quickly taaken in for exam People friendly and efficient. XRay Tech was friendly & explained everything he was doing. Dr. Edwards arrived shortly after I was moved to an exam room. He is very friendly and explained in detail the surgical procedure. We agreed on surgery. His Nurse came shortly thereafter to explain the logistics for the procedure & post op. She assigtned a surgery date while I was still in the exam room. Dr. Edwards did my knee replacement and the outcome was better than I expected. Excellent work. Having my other knee done in a couple of weeks.
Dr. Edwards is a rare breed of doctors. Just a few examples - he sits down when he comes into the room. He is there for you not the usual 3 minutes sit and go. Dr. Edwards also listens to you, ask questions to verify he heard you, and then stops briefly and then answers. Yes, he THINKS not just runs through like reading a script. Dr. Edwards works with patients that DON'T live inside the "normal box" so if you have a full medical history ... he may ask you to do test and your doctor to give an account of your medical history... read more
