Purchased a John Wieland home 10 years ago. Happy with overall quality EXCEPT for the custom windows. I originally requested vinyl windows but was told they only offered the JW "custom" wooden windows. All the exterior wooden frames rotted out after 5 years and I received no communication from JW regarding a warranty repair. I ended up paying thousands out of pocket to re-frame all the windows. 10 years into my JW home I had to replace every single window at a huge expense.
