RUN AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS!!!! John Max is a deceptive and dishonest business owner. I am a tenant of his at one of his rental properties, and he is the worst landlord I have ever had. His contracts are deceptive and very unfair. If you need repairs, you can expect them to take a very long time, as he doesn't do business through true professional companies, he deals exclusively with his friends, and they do shoddy work, when they show up at all. Run Away from this guy!!!! – Do not do business with John Max, he is the most deceptive and dishonest landlord I have ever dealt with. He will say one thing to your face, and then a month later will deny ever saying it. His contracts are very deceptive and unfair, and currently I am involved in litigation against him involving violations of the Fair Trade Practices Act. I rent a property from him, and I cannot believe this guy is even in business. Don't sign his contracts; they are very deceptive, and basically try to put all landlord responsibilities on the tenant.
