I just had my second surgery by Dr. Gibbs, and it went fantastic. Now that he's in Auburn, I was a little hesitant to have my surgery done at a Community Hospital. If you have the same concern, forget it. I had a MUCH better experience there over his Rochester location. The staff at the hospital were very friendly, much more attentive, and again the surgery went great. While Dr. Gibbs is personable and his bedside manner is warm, he incorrectly suggested a rotator cuff surgery for my mom’s shoulder. After following post surgery directions to a “T” and physical therapy, she now has numbness in her lower arm and is now not able to reach her back for bathing, reach up in cupboards, lift anything heavy, do her hair, vacuum, and so on. Dr. Gibbs was so helpful and thorough. He took the time to listen and my surgery/recovery went well. He will give you his honest opinion and not just looking to rush you through. I would highly recommend.
Excellent surgeon. He has performed several orthopedic surgeries including a reverse total shoulder replacement, I highly recommend him and his team based on my experiences.
