I was a longtime CBGB's regular in the 80s/90s. While many I know dislike this place, I celebrate it because they kept so much of the original structure here, including the bar. This was my second visit in a few years and picked up a book this time. Let us be real, this space coukd have ended up being a Dunkin Donuts or other fast food place. Best to them, glad I am still able to still walk into the place & remember this was CBGB's at one time!
