I had a medically necessary removal of excess skin on my abdomen done when I was 25 by this plastic surgeon. I guess that because it was medically necessary and my insurance was paying for it that it didn’t matter to him how it looked. He left so much scar tissue that I have a “shelf” of the scar tissue on my abdomen and what they call “dog ears” on each hip. He left my abdomen and hips looking disfigured and horrible.
