I’ve been using the John Thompson agency for years and they are consistently kind, efficient, and reasonably priced. I’ve had no issues from them! Most recently, I spoke with Nicole to set up Renter’s Insurance. She was professional, easy to speak to, and had my policy set up in minutes.
We worked with John and Nicole as my Allstate agents after we disagreed with a claims officer's decision. On the phone, both were reassuring — they said they agreed with our position, that they'd escalate to higher-ups, and repeatedly told me they were working on it and fully on my side. The reality didn't match. John is hard to reach (seemingly in meetings all day), and when we finally got him, he admitted he hadn't been able to do much and told me I'd need to call Allstate myself. I’m contacting the insurance commissioner because Allstate just increased my monthly homeowners premium's from $284 to $615 beginning August 2026. Reason I filed a claim getting $2700 from Allstate to repair my ceiling from severe water damage May 2026. Ashley the representative stated the policy renewal is August 5, 2026 and because a claim was filed May 2026 a surcharge of $1500 was being added to the annual premium in addition to loss of “no claims filed status” and also Allstate increased my replacement cost by $30,000. ... read more
