Made an appt with John the Plumber to clear a clogged drain. Arrived on time and did assessment. Price quote $599. The plumber who arrived said this was the industry standard. Not True. A clogged drain is pretty straightforward in most cases and billing is based on hours required to complete the task and not some arbitrary number. They may be great plumbers, highly skilled etc. but I paid their call fee of $89 and had Houle plumbing come and do the work. $175 to Houle's, (quick and efficient response) and I am still under 50... read more

I am not an expert but a clogged drain is pretty straightforward and does not take hours in most cases. I had few appliences installed by them. Cooking range that they installed , gas is leaking after their installation . I called them , they told me will send some one after a week. I said the gas is leaking in my house , it is dangerous and their rep went on to rant “perfect some one will come after a week to check”. This is totally unprofessional, mistakes happen but such risky feedbacks should not be so badly handled ( wait for one week with a leaky gas issue ) . Ryan was right on time, was very friendly and solicitous. He was well organized, and took care to tell me everything that he was doing. He took his boots off, he checked lights, he cleaned up, he joked and was very nice to have in the house.
