Avoid this tradesman. I contacted John for a quote on some bathroom work at a house I was about to move into. The job included turning the bath around, installing a brand new shower, a new sink, toilet seat, and a bidet shower. He advised that he charges £60 for a call out just to provide a quote - which I found excessive/absurd - but I went ahead on the understanding that it would be deducted from the final bill if I proceeded. We hired this plumber as part of a full refurbishment of three bathrooms. He removed the bathroom fittings fine, but from there, it went downhill fast. One issue involved a toilet cistern that was not designed for a slimline cabinet. He forced it in regardless, leaving no space for the toilet flush button. We then provided a proper slim-fit cistern, but he fitted it too high, rendering it unserviceable. All three toilet bowls he installed scratched our brand-new floor tiles. John the man came to unblock a sink, he called ahead to let me know when he was on his way, fixed the problem, charged what he said it would be and cleaned up after he had finished the job. He is now my go to plumber and would I would recommend. Thanks John, Alison
