When I first went to the ER for pain & suspected appendicitis, I was told by the dr that it might be the passing of an ovarian cyst or UTI. I have had both & insisted this was not the case. Still in pain, my mother had to ask the doctor to humor her and run a scan anyways to rule appendicitis out - since my dad & brother experienced a similar situation.
