I thought I had a torn or detached retina. I called my optometrist and she recommended two ophthalmologist. Either one would see me. I remembered Dr. Perlmutter, who had seen a friend of mine. I called the office, was asked to come in immediately. The office was crowded, but I was assured that I would be seen. I was in and out of the office in less than an hour and a half. Dr. Perlmutter was extremely thorough and conscientious. I will never see anybody else for my eye care needs again. He is absolutely the best!
Very caring and sincere bedside manner. Spent a sufficient amount of time with me and answered all questions I had. Made me feel at ease and that I had chosen the right doctor for my cataract surgery.
He takes time for you and is thorough.
My appointment was at 10:45. I was moved to an exam room after about an hour. Dr. Perlmutter did the normal tests for a routine exam then dilated my eyes. I was put back in the waiting room around 12:15. They brought me back into an exam room around 1:30 where I waited to see the dr for another 15 minutes. I was there for over 3 hours for a routine exam. I have 20/20 vision and no problems so these were just basic testing. The office is out of date and the receptionist desk is covered in papers.
He is experienced, thoughtful, takes his time and is confident. My cataract surgery went like a well oiled watch, his bed side manner is caring and sincere. He will give you all the time you need.
