Kayaking at John Pennekamp State Park was amazing! The mangrove trails were peaceful and beautiful, with clear water and tons of wildlife all around. It felt like an adventure and a relaxing escape at the same time. The park is well-maintained, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
Super great layout and sites. Plenty of landscaping to create privacy and generous size of site. Boat parking, and disconnection of carswalking distance distance. Beaches well marked and flagged for marine animals (jellies!) VERY little to no sand on the beach- small rocks and crushed shell nessitates a water shoe. Will definately be back.
