After the hemorrhoid surgery, and even before, he was completely dismissive of my questions and concerns which led to me suffering without any way to endure the pain. Because of a medication I am on opiates have no effect on me. I tried to speak with him about this along with the doctor prescribing that medication to resolve the issue long before the surgery, yet he made no effort to speak with them, and he dismissed me and all my concerns without a word. Dr. Reilly performed emergency life-saving surgery on me. This fact was later relayed to me by the emergency room doctor, the anesthesiologist as well as others. Dr Reilly monitored my 10 day recovery in the hospital and after in his office. I was informed of what was happening and what to expect. I perceive Dr Reilly as a dedicated highly skilled surgeon with a kind demeanor. I am most thankful.
Had a polynidal cyst removal done near the buttocks area 4 years ago. Numerous visits later and still to this day I have issues with "ingrown hairs" because of the way he performed this surgery. Went for follow up visits to resolve the reoccurring issue shicy the surgery worsened and Dr John Riley said that another surgery was the only thing and that I would need to keep having surgery for this type of issue. He’s a wonderful doctor, I had a procedure done last week. My scar will be just about invisible, he did an incredible job.
My hernia surgery was done by Dr Reilly robotically. After the surgery My wife said he was excellent in explaining how it went and that all her questions were answered. In my follow up with him I was impressed at how easy it was to speak with him and his thoroughness at explaining my post operative care. Also I required no pain medication which I attribute to his excellent surgery.
Wonderful ! He was reasuring, easy to talk to with a great bedside manner. His care was professional and succesful for what i needed. I highly reccomment Dr. Reilly to anyone for their surgical needs. TWT
Dr. Reilly met with me before my surgery. He explained the operation and recovery process. I felt confident in Dr. Reilly. He did not disappoint! The pre-Op at Peninsula Regional was world class, as was the Post Op. The surgery went well, despite my medical background, which made me a high risk patient. My follow-up appointment 10 days later went well. Dr Reilly was patient and answered my (many) question. Wish every Dr. and surgeon was like Dr. Reilly!
