This rustic cabin was built in 1980 and offers a spectacular views and can be accessed by hiking. It’s about 3 miles from the trailhead off of Glacier Highway. The trail is partially planked and winds through muskeg with a 1,500-foot elevation gain.
Great spot! Beautiful views. Outhouse and fire pit included, and a working propane heater inside. With additional bunk space in the loft, you can probably comfortably sleep 6-7 adults. About 2 hrs of hiking each way with a 50-lb pack. Wear good shoes as there are lots of easy spots to slip, especially on the wooden planks. Hike isn't too difficult, steady moderate uphill most of the way. Definitely recommend!
