If I could lower the review I would. There’s a reason he doesn’t want to be accredited to the BBB. I chose his company to do an addition. Had all the up front discussions about the project including timeline. Asked him to delay the building project until I returned from a month long trip, meanwhile he said permits architect etc would be going forward. During my trip a medical situation arose with my spouse that could have possibly changed our financial situation and I told the contractor to delay everything till I return. Wh... read more

I live on Davis Islands (1960s type ranch); needed a simple room addition. Met Mike, told him my needs (12 x 14 room). He clearly sketched out his plans with reasonable price, giving a breakdown of exactly what he would do. I live in a flood zone, so a few extra hurdles to contend with. Addition took twice the normal time to complete, Problems with the concrete slab, roof, framing, plumbing. Did not pass several county inspections.

We hired Mike two and one half years ago for a house addition. He had the knowledge, the computer program, and a terrific personality! He improved our ideas by 100% by showing us, visually with his computer program, where the addition should be, and saved us AT LEAST $25,000. We had a (as it turned out) minor plumbing issue after completion. Mike sent a plumber to correct the issue. A year later (due to seasonal usage of home) the problem seemed to continue.
