The sales person was awesome, the owners very lack luster and not very friendly
I called John Mays Jewelers and asked if they could put a new battery in a ladies watch and also take links out of the arm band to adjust the size. The lady who answered the phone said yes they could do the battery and would look about sizing it. We drove to Ft. Smith from Poteau and upon getting to the door I found it locked. After a couple minutes a man came and unlocked the door. I showed him the watch that needed a battery and the watch that needed the armband adjusted. I had a watch that I wanted to see if I could get working. I didn’t think it would, but I’d at least try. The people at John Mays were very helpful and friendly. The watch couldn’t be fixed, but they went out of the way to help.

We visited John Mays Jewelry to have the gems in a ring we won at auction evaluated. The older gentleman, who we assumed was the owner, informed us that we would need to pay $150 for an appraisal just to verify if the diamond and sapphire were genuine. He seemed dismissive and even smirked when we mentioned the auction price, suggesting it was unlikely the gems were real.
