I found Dr.Tohlen to be friendly, thorough and results driven during my appointment. I feel that he is a well rounded physician with a "down to business" approach and no time wasted. I very much appreciate this approach to health care. Dr. Tohlen is clear and concise with explanations and he demonstrates a proactive approach to his patients health care which is refreshing and assuring. Worst experience I have ever had with a Dr. in 45 years. I called to make an appointment with two very specific questions. He immediately said he had checked my insurance and I was due for a full physical. Then it was do I need a OB physical too? He literally only cared about how many things he could charge me for during my appointment time. And boy did they charge me for everything. I was having some complications with a medication that he prescribed, when I brought this up and asked why such a high dosage he accused me of being irate and not trusting his medical expertise. After suggesting we try another medication that had been recommended to me, I was accused of Dr shopping. After getting over that hurtle he still refused to prescribe the medication just because my insurance might deny it and he wasn’t going to have his staff jump through hoops.
