I've been going to Dr. Dovey for a few years. I just experienced the worst customer service anywhere I've been for a long time. First, Dr. Dovey was out sick on a previous day a month earlier whenI had a scheduled appointment. I was told someone would contact me to reschedule. Never happened. When I tried to reschedule just now, the woman who answered was very curt and rude, saying she couldn't hear me. The whole family has been seeing Dr. Dovie for years now... great to work with, always gets my prescription correct the first time, always explains what he's doing, we often learn new things... just a wonderful business.

Insanely wonderful bedside manner! I wish he could be my family doctor too because he actually CARES! He reassured me throughout my exam that I could ask any question. He showed me a digital rendering of my own eye so I could understand what/how things in my eye do/don't work. Even though the exam was thorough it was surprisingly quick. He helped a family member of mine and even reached out to their doctor to suggest some other care options for them because of something he noticed during their exam. I have seen both doctors (for routine eye exams and for shingles in my eye) and they are always calm, explain everything well, and are compassionate. They do use high tech equipment, but they also talk with you well. I don't get my glasses there because they are out of my price range, though I researched and found that they are fairly priced for the designer frames and high tech lenses that they carry.
