We worked with John on a corporate magazine shoot, multiple locations in and around Chicago. John was of great help because he also organized everything including scouting and scheduling. He is very reliable and it was overall a great experience and a pleasure to work with him. We received a large selection of very good images which are perfect for our needs and would always work with him again. Highly recommended if you need professional support and creative ideas. John was AMAZING as our wedding photographer!! We were so happy with his ability to maintain professionalism, a sense of humor, and calm demeanor in managing such a large wedding party. He captured all of the shots we wanted and quickly picked up on our style and came up with some amazing shots that were so perfect! I highly recommend him all around!!

We used John Kalad Photography for family pictures about a year ago and then again for pictures of my daughters shortly after our youngest was born this past spring. He was wonderful! He was able to work with a fussy newborn and a shy (and slightly crabby) three year-old perfectly. When the girls were less than cooperative, I thought for sure the photos would be a disaster. My family worked with John Kalad this past fall (2014). My wife purchased a photo shoot as a surprise to celebrate our anniversary. Given we'd never worked with a professional photographer before, I wasn't sure what to expect. John blew us all away with how easy/enjoyable he made the entire experience.
