My 90 y/o mother just had a lumbar disc laminectomy by Dr. Afshar. I cannot say enough nice things about both Dr. Afshar and his staff! The moment we walked into his Port St. Lucie office we were treated kindly and professionally. Kathy at his front desk is fantastic and Dr. Afshar is incredible. Dr. Afshar is the most professional, caring, and skilled surgeon I have ever met. As someone in the medical profession myself, I cannot recommend Dr. Afshar enough. When I discovered I needed surgery on neck I obtained consults from 6 different providers. He was the most thorough, professional, and meticulous. My Husband waited 5 months for the office to get in touch with him for appointment when he called they always said they were waiting for approval from workers comp finally he calls again they said oh yes we got it waiting for you to bring in your MRI and films, So he does thinking he is finally getting the help he needs just to be told when he gets there that the Dr Afshar does not handle patients whom have spinal cord stimulation implants .
