Dr. Afshar is the most professional, caring, and skilled surgeon I have ever met. As someone in the medical profession myself, I cannot recommend Dr. Afshar enough. When I discovered I needed surgery on neck I obtained consults from 6 different providers. He was the most thorough, professional, and meticulous. My Husband waited 5 months for the office to get in touch with him for appointment when he called they always said they were waiting for approval from workers comp finally he calls again they said oh yes we got it waiting for you to bring in your MRI and films, So he does thinking he is finally getting the help he needs just to be told when he gets there that the Dr Afshar does not handle patients whom have spinal cord stimulation implants . Dr Afshar is amazing! He’s exceptionally skilled, listens well, and explains everything in lay mans terms so that you can completely understand exactly what the issues are, and if he thinks that he can help you. He is NOT “knife happy”. If he thinks that there’s any other way to help you, without surgery, he suggests it. (This is one of the many things that I admire about him.) His surgery administrator, Diane, is outstanding too! She is just like him, kind, considerate and super efficient! Great doctor and staff!
