The office staff didn’t verify my insurance prior to my appointment until the morning of, and it showed out of network. It showed in-network in my portal. I showed up at 6:30am (missed an 5:30am call) and was sent packing unless I wanted to self-pay $550. Negative. After 8am, they verified I was indeed in-network, so I went back. Dr. McHenry's office is not run effectively. I had my 2nd appointment tentatively scheduled pending a lumbar puncture he requested. That appointment was before the actual lumbar appointment so I had to reschedule for after. No one mentioned he has another office in Dallas. I called earlier that morning to confirm the time of the appointment again no mention of which office. I even checked the patient portal before calling. No appointment showed at all. The doctor himself is great at what he does. Bedside manner or whatever, fine, I get that not everyone is a talker. He is a great doctor. His front office staff on the other hand...horrible. I arrived today at 2:54 for my 3pm appointment, sat for 30 minutes without being called to even pay my copay, went up to the windows again and she tells me they're running behind. Fine. Come to find out, this lady did NOT CHECK ME IN WHEN I CHECKED IN. She checked me in when I came up 30 minutes after sitting there waiting to be called. ... read more

McHenry does not care about the patient. No bedside manners. He does not spend much time talking with you. He wrote me a Rx and didnt offer to do any neurological exams to diagnose me properly. His staff is rude and overall, I decided to not continue my care with him after only a few visits.

I have been going to him for years, not by choice but because this specialty doctor is hard to find. All appointments are 2 to 3 1/2 hours long. You are herded like cattle to all the different test you have to do. You see the doctor for less than 2 minutes and he says the same thing every visit " Everything looks good, no extra swelling.
