I have been going to him for years, not by choice but because this specialty doctor is hard to find. All appointments are 2 to 3 1/2 hours long. I'm not going to pretend the Dr. McHenry is a big cuddly teddy bear or that the staff is sometimes a crap shoot, but that because they are the ONLY ones in the entire Metroplex that do what they do. Dr. McHenry found something doctors had been ignoring in me for decades - idiopathic intercranial hypertension. I had no peripheral vision and my depth perception was going. I head migraines and headaches from birth and it was getting worse. Yes your experience will be coarse and awkward but he will get you answers

Just left the ER yesterday with fluid on the brain. A neurospecialist, Dr. Chang, referred me here. Because I did not have the Dr first name, phone number from a ER department I could not sign up here. I had to call for that information, and get back to her. I see why they have two stars. Receptionist is killing the business.
Zero Stars. Find ANY other Doctor. All bad reviews are our experience as well. (My first review was pulled...) Zero explanation of your vision issue or how it might be treated, prognosis, etc! Snobbery, excessive wait times, weird rules, questionable staff. He might be smart-but that knowledge does you no good. Literally, useless.
John G. McHenry, M.D. has a 2.2 star rating with 31 reviews.
