NO DOCTOR REVIEWED MY FILE BEFORE AN AMNIOCENTESIS WAS RECOMMENDED. BEWARE. I went in for a routine 18 week anatomy scan. I was told it would be a 1-1.5 hour appointment. The sonographer had us in the room for, at most, 25 minutes. She then sent us back to the waiting room and we were called back to speak to the Physicians Assistant. The PA told us that the scan turned up 3 abnormalities - 1) fetal nasal bone hypoplasia. She said the nose bone of the baby was in the <1 percentile.
