i have driven by this little a thousand times, but never stopped. to my pleasant surprise when finally entering the shop, i was warped back in time to a candy shop of my childhood. i spoke to the owner, who is the granddaughter of the original john candy. she and her husband were friendly and the candy was amazing! everthing handmade at the store! this is my new independent candy store!

WONDERFUL CANDY – I WENT TO SCHOOL FOR 12 YRS. AT OUR LADY OF VICTORY, WE USE TO STOP ON THE WAY HOME AND BUY LITTLE BOXES OF CANDY FOR A QUARTER, YEARS AGO. MY SISTER JANIE REED FROM HOOVER ALA. NOW SENDS ME A 5LB BOX OF YOUR CANDY EVERY CHRISTMAS. IT IS A FAMILY TRADITION, OUR AUNT USE TO DO THAT EVERY CHRISTMAS WHEN WE WERE LITTLE AND WE ALWAYS LOOKED FORWARD TO HER VISIT, SHE IS NOW NO LONGER WITH US, SO MY SISTER IS TAKING HER PLACE. Top Chocolate There are candy shops closer to where I live, but John Eagle Candies is simply better than the rest. There prices are above average, but their chocolate is consistently top notch. Plenty of parking and friendly employees.
