I honestly believe that this is the best federal visitor center in the country. They had an AMAZING DISPLAY of how - this area - some 40 million years ago or so, was more similar to the climate of modern Panama! There were the PRE-cursers of modern horses and pigs - and John Day had it all laid out and explained - SO BEAUTIFULLY. SO INTERESTING! PROMOTE THE STAFF HERE! (or at least the staff from 2017 😉)
