Great doc and staff. Takes care of my family including management of my kiddos ADHD medications which can be frustrating but only experienced lots of care.

I scheduled a video call, they switched it to a phone call, they can’t see the problem they ask tons of obvious questions about the bump I wanted looked at . LAME , 100% useless doctor aapt

AVOID this clinic at all costs. The nurse practitioner, Jennifer, and Dr. Kunz do not care about their patients. They will not call you to tell you about your blood work result even if there is a problem. Our family had blood work done and some members had concerning results (Quest sent the results). We were worried and called the clinic a few times, the office says they’ll get back to us, but they don’t. Now, they just don’t respond to our phone calls, voicemails, or emails. Unfortunately Dr. Kunz and staff do not comply with current medical standard of care. Prescribing controlled substances to patients without having seen them in over 2 years. He runs a methadone type clinic as well. He has been prescribing without care for the last decade to my knowledge. If you or a loved one suffers from any form of addiction, do NOT see Kunz. I have been a patient of Dr. Kunz for years. He's kind and professional, always. He's also extremely honest and, if he's perplexed about a situation, will grab his computer or pull out a medical journal and research until he has an answer or a pathway to pursue. I am 100% confident in Dr. Kunz ability to care for me. He also hires incredible staff!

Dr. Kunz is an excellent family physician. He takes the time to hear the medical problem and carefully analyses the situation. Dr. Kunz explains the treatment very well. He is very professional, personable and helpful. He is very patient focused and works very hard to provide the best medical care. His office staff are professional, courteous and have assisted me with insurance questions.

Easily confused - not clear as to how things work in the Humana Gold Plus (HMO). Not able to make referrals as required. I found him to be arrogant and extremely unhelpful. Terrible bedsiide manner.

John David Kunz, MD, has been my family doctor for over 20 years . He diagnosis a certain condition which required a specialist At that time long, long ago I was on medi-cal and the specialists would Not accept any new medi-cal patients . No Exceptions ! Dr.Kunz personally took the time ,after longs working hours, making calls to his colleagues. And next thing I knew I would be accepted a New patient with the best Specialist in Santa Barbara. He is the number one MD.
