I have been a patient of Dr. Blackman for a couple years now. I had some issues finding an endocrinologist I could work with in the past. I can tell Dr. Blackman really enjoys managing diabetes and he is very interested in the new equipment that has come out. The staff at Dr. Blackman's office has been wonderful! An excellent physician. Extremely knowledgeable, compassionate and competent. He has help me recover from several significant medical issues. I'm extremely satisfied with his high quality of services.

For the most part Dr. Blackman seemed like an adequate doctor, not great personal skills, but whatever. But after my insurance ran out and I was waiting for my employer's insurance to kick in he refused to write me a prescription for Humalog (was previously on Novolog but new insurance refused to cover it). I hadn't seen him in 18 months I think, but still got diabetes, still need insulin. Only needed a single vial to make it through the week until I met with my new endocrinologist and he wouldn't write a prescription. So no... read more

Despite several attempts over two months to get a referral through the “internal system” and a fax (that they said they don’t even consider), I have given up trying to see this doctor. This office staff sucks and they are rude! I was referred because I make too much insulin and deal with consistent low blood glucose. Apparently they don’t care about healthcare.
