Great care and outstanding compassion for his patients. I was so grateful for finding an amazing doctor locally. My routine mammogram showed a suspicious area in one breast. After an ultrasound and biopsy. I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I was referred to Dr Welander by my primary physician. He was Professional, Kind and had my best interest at heart. Our first discussion was possibly a lumpectomy while maintaining my breast integrity. I am so thankful that we have such a good surgeon here in Pella. Dr Welander took care of me through breast cancer. He always took his time and made sure all my questions were answered. I would highly recommend him. Having Kim alongside him was a blessing as well. You know she cares.

Dr. Welander with Nurse Kimberly & team were such a blessing to me & my family during my recent breast cancer diagnosis at the age of 45 & subsequent bilateral nipple-sparing mastectomy! I could not imagine a better team to meet me in such a difficult & tender place, & they exceeded my expectations time & again! I am so thankful for the care I received & continue to receive at PRHC!
