When I was diagnosed with breast cancer my family doctor sent me directly to Dr Welander. He was so knowledgeable and caring. His nurse Kim Pearson helped me so much answering questions and walking me through the process. It was so nice to have my surgeon and nurse right here in Pella. My double mastectomy went smooth and recovery went great. I am so happy with their care and advise.
If ten stars was an option, that’s what I’d choose! I would recommend Dr. Welander and Nurse Kim to ANYONE! They were an incredible duo! They were present! They listened and they processed with me. Dr. Welander was so thorough and had the best ways of explaining really complicated stuff. Their calm and patient demeanor was a blessing during an icky and stressful time. I will forever be grateful for the exceptional care I received at Pella Regional Health Center. Praise God for the work these two are doing!
I felt at ease with Dr Welander and his staff. He explained everything so that I could understand and if I had any questions he took the time to go over them with me. It was nice that we didn’t have to travel out of town for my appts and the surgery.
My team (Dr. Welander/Kim are amazing!! They actually took the time to listen to me and my concerns and let me make the best decisions for myself when it came to my breast cancer diagnosis without any pressures from them on what THEY think I should’ve done and they have never made me feel any sort of way other than I made the right decision for me. I appreciate these two a great deal!!
