While the food was okay…. The environment was not! There were bugs everywhere. We were in there fighting flys and stink bugs. In fact there were so many bugs we took the food outside and ate in the vehicle. All we were doing was swatting at flies and flicking away stink bugs. Fries were hot and fresh and burgers were tasty. Sweet tea was good.
First time eating there..very friendly and super good food.If you haven't tried it,I.would recommend it...
This is our second disappointing trip, so I'm doing this review. I'm not sure what has happened to John Boys but at 5:30pm, two full hours before close they were only allowing seating on one side of the restaurant. We were 1 of 2 tables in the place, yet we waited a full 20 minutes for 2 BBQ plates. When we did receive the food the BBQ was dry, full of burnt ends & cold (NO WAY WAS IT SERVE SAFE TEMP), along with some cold.... yet burnt fries & hushpuppies. We've eaten there for several years but never again.
Ordered two hotdogs and when I got them the bread was too hard to eat. The time it took to get them made me wonder if they forgot about my order. This is second major problem I have encountered in 2 weeks That’s enough.
In the past we've been here and it was very good when you had to pay for cash they never had where you can use the card now they do so now they're probably on the new and management. I ordered the barbecue sandwich for me and my wife it was so small I couldn't believe it it looked like a slider it didn't taste good I didn't like it it used to be huge but now it's tiny and it's not really worth it.
