I've been going to Dr Shepherd (and Dr Kvarnstrom before him), for a long time, and I am very grateful to have found this place. Growing up I was one of those fearing every dental visit, very scared of pain. I feel glad to say I don't have that fear anymore. Awesome knowledge of his practice. I was going to his father in laws practice and when I heard he was retiring, I was a little nervous at first, but I believe you should give others a chance. Dr. Shepherd knows what he is doing and knows what needs to be done. I have terrible teeth and he has helped me tremendously and has advised me if I am having pain, he knows if it's teeth related or something else.
We have a new fantastic family dentist in Fountain Valley. Dr. Shepherd is very efficient, accomplished, and gives his patients complete dental work satisfaction. He recently completed a complex bridge procedure for my wife and we are both very satisfied. He performed the entire procedure without any discomfort. I am very happy with his work and will continue to see him for all of my future dental needs. He is very personable and explains everything in detail. Great dentist!
I'm a periodontal patient, so I've gone to many dentist offices in my time. I like this dentist more than the others I've gone to previously. I've known the dental hygienists there for years, and they do wonderful work, as it's needed with my gum problem. The dentist noticed I was grinding my teeth so they got me a night guard for bruxism. Jessie is an awesome office manager, and gets me the best appointment times available. She is also great at communicating with my insurance company for me. I bring my son here too. The dental experience I receive is always second to none. I always feel welcomed when I come in for my appointments. What makes the visits even more pleasant is that Dr. Shepard, Mirtha, and Jessie always take the time to explain in detail the treatment and ensure my understanding of the process before proceeding.
