Finally got to try John and Cathy’s Back Alley Deli since they moved into the new spot. Wow, the room is gorgeous all that stained glass, definitely worth checking out just for the space alone. Kept it easy and got a ham and cheese on multigrain with a side of macaroni salad. Portions were big, good thing I was splitting it with my husband. Loved the bread. So.... I had to cancel my order here. We made our order in person with no other customers on the premises. Yet we were told it would be a 20 to 30 minute wait for two subs. Huh? It was explained that we would need to wait for the call in orders to be completed before our order could be made. Weird.
Cute little deli. Pretty expensive for a basic sandwich with coke.
It was a Really good sandwich despite it not exactly being what I ordered (and also didnt get my pickle I paid for.) I say as on Ocean Grove resident that this place has so much potential. I really hope you guys get it together.
I had a great sandwich with chicken, eggplant, arugula,, roasted red pepper, and mozzarella on good Italian bread. About $20 but I got two meals out of it! Quality ingredients, friendly service, and nice porch to sit and and eat and watch the passersby
