When I was diagnosed with prostate CA I was referred to Dr. Pablo by my urologist. I meet with Dr. Pablo and he was considerate, compassionate, understanding and fully explained my expected treatment and potential side-effects. Heaven is definitely missing a whole bunch of angels because they are all hanging out with Dr. John Mikell at the Lewis Cancer & Research Pavillon of St Joseph's/Candler in Bluffton. I do not think that a person facing the big "C" could be treated any kinder or professionally. I had cancer that was ignored by this doctor. I was told nothing was wrong with me, although my CA 125 was elevated and the CT Scan showed a mass, he still told me “nothing was wrong” and said he would see me in 3 months! I had a history of ovarian cancer and chemo/surgery in the past that should have been another reason to be alert. In the 3 months that I waited, trusting his decision, my tumor almost doubled in size, the CA125 elevated even more and the end result was not good. Please don’t risk your life with this man!

Dr Mikell and his entire team were fantastic. the greeters at the main entrance always met me with a smile and positive comments. The radiation were top-notch. Very patient with me and respectful at all times. The nurses were fantastic - always upbeat and provided great care.
Dr. Mikell is an extraordinary physician! He treated me with the utmost respect, courtesy and empathy. Facing a fearful situation, Dr. Mikell made me more comfortable and confident than I could have imagined! I highly recommend Dr. Mikell and his team to anyone needing radiation oncology.
Dr Mikell is professional but also very friendly and encouraging. He explained my treatment clearly and saw me each week during my radiation series.
