This is a special little place which gives a look into history and geology right in your hand. The museum is small and well put together. Couple the museum with the tour and I felt you got a great personal experience first hand with the earth's history. While you're not actually discovering any new fossils but finding one's which have been scattered (previously fallen, found, replaced and found again, rinse-repeat) across the beach from portions of the beachfront wall stratum, which is a geological research area. Great facility, would have stopped and taken the guided fossil tour had we been in less of a rush. Stunning beach regardless.

A really unique opportunity to see some plant fossils with varying price and experience options. Without the guide, I wouldn't have found any fossils and would have thought of this place as just a cliff. The 30min tour focuses on explanations, and the 90min tour takes about an hour to listen to explanations, find fossils yourself, and ask questions and answers to the guide. A lot of fun. Don't forget that you have to take the stone out of your pocket and put it i... read more
