Opens at 4. Was nice and quiet, for a bar. Server was super friendly, good burger and onion rings
Local hidden gem! The building and atmosphere are amazing. The history and lore add to the outstanding service and menus. We tried the 1850 Manhattan and the Joe's Horses neck and both were excellent. The Hungarian goulash is exactly what youd want or expect from Hungarian goulash. Tender beef and great flavors! We will definitely be back!
Don't miss this gem on the west side of South Bend. A treasure of the area, you can get wonderful authentic Hungarian food. The fried cod was fabulous, too. Crunchy outside, perfectly cooked inside. The fries were fabulous. My husband had the Hungarian goulash and must have liked it; he ate it all. Service was excellent! Love the community atmosphere. Stop in and get to know them!
Joe’s is tops! It has a great vibe and you feel welcome the moment you walk in. The bar has a classic old town Chicago vibe, with checkered floors and a vintage wooden bar. The drinks are on point and it is a renewed local staple.
