My husband and I just got back from staying there. We had the best time. The cabin was clean, decorated very nicely and had every amenity you could think of. They really have put a lot of time and love into this place. It’s got the most relaxing vibe and we enjoyed having our coffee on the porch every morning watching the hummingbirds and other wildlife. Thanks for sharing this beautiful area and giving folks a place to chill. 🧡✌🏻
Absolutely loved our stay at Joe’s Ridge Retreat. Arrived to a well stocked cabin that was absolutely immaculate. My 3 kids loved the bunk room and each had their own bed! Only 15 minutes from Winterplace. Inclement weather I would recommend 4wd but the owner was super responsive and was out there clearing the driveway for our departure. Will absolutely return!
Our family of four (my wife, our 13-year-old son, our 9-year-old daughter, and I) just stayed at Joe’s Ridge Retreat, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The cabin was spotless, beautifully furnished, and incredibly comfortable — it truly felt like home from the moment we arrived. Every detail was above and beyond. My husband and I stayed for around 3 weeks in one of the cabins. It was amazing. There was a washer/dryer unit, pots, dishwasher, Starlink WiFi. The cabin was pet friendly. Everything was clean, and refreshing. The huge front porch was always inviting someone to sit a while in the swing. On the table were treats, and the refrigerator had several cold drinks. Joe's Ridge Retreat is beautiful. Located in the West Virginia mountains on a very quiet road. However, it is within a short drive of many outdoor activities. The owners have done a wonderful job. If we ever visit the area again I will definitely check to see if the cabin is available.
