Joe's food is AMAZING!! Everything is from scratch and absolutely delicious. The bread is beyond wonderful. Be sure to order the herb olive oil. OMG......
I would compare the food to a Impastato's or Sal and Judy's! It is delicious and the owners Joe and Paulie came out to the tables and greeted all of the guest, made us feel like family. The homemade bread is insanely good. We had the chicken parmigiana and the ravioli's both were great.
This is authentic Italian food. The owners and cooks are from Italy. I am from NJ and this Italian food is as good or better than in the Northeast. I do not eat Italian food in the south because it is not authentic, but Joe's food is the real thing. The red sauce or red gravy (as NJ Italians call it) is delicious. Their pastas are homemade. Not what I expected. I'd put it in the class of an Italian Pie. Was hoping for a Sal & Judy's type. As soon as I saw the menu and prices I knew it wasn't what I was looking for.
Eat at their Sulphur ,La. location and it WAS GREAT
