RecommendedHonest and I am very happy to now have a mechanic I trust.
My husband and I have been going to Big O’s for the last two years with no problems. However, a few weeks ago, we took our Dodge in when it wouldn’t start, even after we changed the battery. Big O diagnosed it as a bad transmission that needed replacing. $800 later, we had a new transmission, but a day later, the car still wouldn’t start. I took a 1 yr old tire into your Carmel Indiana (811 W main st) location today. The tire had a very slow leak. It had a tiny piece of metal 2+ inches inside from the shoulder of the tire. Nearly 4 inches from the sidewall. The store manager on duty (Kenny) told me I needed a new, $190 tire! (A brand new tire, same model as stock was $80 on Tirerack). Not trustworthy or reliable. 1st time I went to Big O in Carmel for an alignment they told me my vehicle couldn’t get aligned without purchasing more work. Took vehicle to dealer they say nothing is wrong, take back to Big O and this time they agree with dealer. They seem shady and just trying to get more $$. Also on 2nd time to Big O there tech workers didn’t show up until 45mins late after they opened. Great customer service. So much cheaper than the dealer and got all parts locally in an hour!
Had a good experience at Joe's after a local tire shop did unsatisfactory work. Jason was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and fair when discussing repairs, options, and costs. I will be coming back.
