Inappropriate in his care, poor decisionmaking, and childlike treatment of staff. Lacks 80% of the qualities that make a good doctor, much less a psychiatrist. This review is long overdue as my dealings with him are from 1998 to 2001. If you're looking for a shrink for yourself, maybe you'll be satisfied so roll the dice. But if you're looking for an empathetic, caring, and able psychiatrist to treat a loved one, look elsewhere. 2 thumbs down.
Not worth the 1 star I gave him! He is rude and disrespectful and does not take the time to listen to your problems! He misdiagnosed me and put me on some medication that has caused permanent damage to my body! He yelled at me one day “You are such low income and you don’t have a decent paying job so you can’t afford to come here anymore! Just go to behavioral health services!” I left and haven’t been back. Dr. Morgan and his staff treat you with respect and make you feel comfortable. Visits are always quick but never rushed. I’ve never had to sit in the waiting room for more than 15 minutes. I would highly, and happily, recommend him or his NP’s to anyone I know.
I have been going to VPA for almost 20 years and have never had a dissatisfying experience except for today. Dr Morgan’s office staff was incredibly rude today. When I was finished with my 30 second appointment, I tried to schedule my three mont appointment. The staff acted like I was even there and they were more interested in socializing about something unrelated to medical care. There’s no communication about medication. He cut me off after 10 years of prescribing it. I called twice to ask about weaning off. I never got a callback, so I faxed his nurse practitioner who I normally see. Still no answer. I’ve never heard of a doctor not telling you how to wean off the medicine that can cause serious side effects. He’s not the doctor I thought he was.

Was anxious to be there but turned into a most comfortable experience l have ever experienced in a professionals office
