I've had home and auto insurance with Joe for nearly 4 years. Joe is very friendly and personable; however, during this entire four-year periods, he's been unresponsive, requiring multiple follow-ups for nearly every request. I've recently terminated my coverage with him and State Farm, because he failed to complete a request to change coverage for a change in our cars (despite confirming he would make this change), and he's been impossible to get a hold of for the past 4+ months. I have had all of my insurance coverage from this agency for over 55 years. My father was with the agency when I got my first car, and he took me over to the agency (John Weyker was the agent back then) for my first automobile policy. I insist that my children have State Farm, as well. My son moved to Rockford, IL 3 years ago and he was heartbroken that he had to move his policies from the Harrings agency to a local agency. Joe Hearings State Farm office is a complete joke. He insured my property incorrectly stating I wasn’t a residing in the property assuming because my mailing address is different from my living address. I didn’t notice the error until after my house caught a fire. At which time I discovered my policy was only covered at 40%. This was devastating, who was he helping with such low coverage. I've had Joe as my insurance agent for 31 years. He and his team are remarkable, very hands on. I recently had a car accident (not my fault) and my car was totaled. Between him and the other agents I had to talk to, my experience was seamless. I'll will be with State Farm until the day I die. Love that company.
