We were loyal Caputo customers, but today will be our last visit to Butera. If you choose to shop here, make you check the prices they charge you. Shelf price was $0.80 lower then what the register rang - refused to correct the price. Yes, you lost my business over $0.80.
Now that this is Butera and noticeable lower grade everything, if I were Mr. Caputo I'd get my name off everything before it effects his other stores (or did he sell them out too?). Sad to see a lovely local grocery go so bad so quickly. Cripes I can now get better produce and meats at Jewel.
I was at the Palatine store around 6:30pm where I attempted to order a pound of Sara Lee Lower Sodium Turkey Breast. I asked the young Hispanic male kid for a pound asking for not to thin and not to thick. This kid took the meat and threw it into the cutting machine where he proceeded to cut the meat. I travel for work when I'm in area I stock up on supplies to fill my pantry and always leave with the freshest fruit around!
I shopped here today because of the senior discount on Tuesdays. I ask Kimberly about the discount and ask if she needed to see my ID , to which she said no. When I got home she had NOT given me the discount!!! She was also not unfriendly. Is this the type of people you are hiring now Caputos???
