I can’t say enough wonderful things about Dr. Tamayo. After having a previous doctor who made me feel very uncomfortable, I switched to Dr. Tamayo at 13 weeks pregnant, and I’m so grateful I did. Dr. Tamayo has the highest EQ of any doctor I've met. She's also smart and knows what to focus on instead of barraging you with a bunch of information and facts that leave you feeling more worried than anything, which a lot of doctors tend to do. My visits with her always made me feel better after the fact - a rare thing in a doctor, and the exact sort of person you want by your side in the journey of pregnancy (and post partum!). She delivered my first born 12 years ago. She was nice at first. Had my consultation with her. I was taking SSRI for my severe depression/anxiety at the consultation. Third trimester she claims she did not know I was taking this. She yelled out me claiming I never told her that I was on them. I was also having extreme sciatic pain from where the baby was sitting and I went for a follow up and saw her partner at the time, an other ob doctor who was so sweet, told me to really think about an epidural during labor and eas suppo... read more
This doctor is absolutely amazing. The comfort and compassion that she brought my clients during labor was something you just can’t teach. She was friendly, open to all of their questions, and answered them honestly that really gave them confidence when making decisions about progressing labor. She great I wish all doctors were like her.
I saw Dr. Tamayo for my first pregnancy that ended in miscarriage. The whole experience with her office was awful from start to end, complete with Dr. Tamayo flippantly laughing through the first ultrasound where there was no heartbeat, to not calling me back for 5 full days with HCG results that were to confirm my miscarriage because their phone lines were down, to Melina berating me on the phone for asking to speak to Dr. Tamayo, saying 'if she had time to talk on the phone with you, she wouldn't have time for any other pa... read more
