God bless Dr. Joan Walker. My mother, Carolyn Robinson, was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer and was given a short window to live. Dr. Joan Walker gave my Mom encouragement, hope, and sound medical attention. My Mom lived an additional 25+ years. Dr. Walker was an angel, and even though I've never met her in person, I am so grateful for her.
Dr. Walker gave us 10 extra years with my mother and for that I am eternally grateful. She treated my mother with respect and dignity.
Dr. Walker diagnosed my 75 year old mother with cervical cancer in Oct of 2024. By the end of Jan 2025 she was dead. She put her through a chemo treatment that she was never going to finish. My family and myself reached out to her multiple times for help. And until I canceled the treatments they all went ignored. There is no doubt that Dr. Walker is the best in her field, but what I didn't expect was her compassion. 20 yrs ago I was a very frightened 24 yr old hearing my mom had cervical cancer. I am her only child and was the only caregiver. Dr. Walker was very patient in explaining things to me and hearing every question I had. My mom's cancer came back each year for 2 yrs after the initial surgery. Each time she made a personal call to my mom to advise her that it was back and what would be the plan of attack.
