Impressed – I was very happy with the service & food. I used to be a fan of PF Changs, but it's gone down hill. I used to eat frequently at Changs in Chicago, but the one here in Charlotte doesn't compare. Jo Jo is much better. The fried rice was very good.
Do takeout instead – I thought this place would be a substitute for other upscale Chinese "bistro" restaurants. The atmosphere is colorful, bordering on loud. They try to mix traditional Asian atmosphere with something that can best be described as nouveau Dick Tracy. The walls are painted in various loud colors, the lighting is modern. Chinese for Dummies – "Chinese" only in the sense that they use soy sauce on everything, serve rice and offer dishes offered on every take out menu in the States. Not the real thing, bizarre items (ostrich, etc.) not withstanding. Food is okay, decor lovely, service quiet and attentive.
