Not saying this is typical of them, but it did happen. Going out of our way to hire locally, we asked them to inspect and repair an air conditioning unit. The bill for various repairs was about $730. Needed annual service for oil heating system. They quoted $200. A guy arrived pretty much on time (15 minutes late, which is fine). Did a nice job wiping the surface of the boiler. Didn't do anything that annual maintenance of oil heating systems should've included, he didn't : 1. Replace the oil filter 2. Inspecting and cleaning the oil burner 3.
