called JMP Wood with a ton of questions about which balusters would work for my staircase and the rep spent 20 minutes helping me figure it all out. The wood pieces arrived in perfect condition — clean cuts, great grain, zero defects. Exceptional experience start to finish.
Ordered a 72” red oak stair-tread to use for a custom transition step from living room to a new sunroom. Beautifully milled and received timely in perfect condition at an extremely attractive price. I definitely recommend JMP Wood.
It took over a month for my order to ship. When the order finally arrived, it was missing $377 in materials. Several attempts requesting the shipment of the missing materials have failed. Heed this warning, and all the other negative reviews of JMP Wood –do not buy from this company!
Ordered balusters, newel posts, and handrails—took over a month to ship, and only after I called to follow up. The “12–22 day” timeframe on their website is apparently just an estimate with no accountability. I later ordered one additional newel post I had missed and called to ask if it could be expedited so it wouldn’t delay my project. I was told a note would be added. I ordered balusters from JMP Woods on March 11, and days later my order was still sitting in “waiting to be fulfilled” with zero updates or communication. I have a contractor scheduled this weekend, so timing matters—and without any shipping information, I couldn’t plan.
