Best Steak - Great Wine - Superb Service!
We were there on a Wednesday night. Vibe was nice. The service was excellent. We ordered the filet mignon and the "JK's Special" (filet medallions with a shrimp skewer), medium. The shrimp were smoky and delicious. The filet and medallions were disappointing. No sear at all. The prep was more sous vide than wood-fired. Wish we'd ordered something else.
Great service and fantastic atmosphere. Our server was engaging and the staff created a great experience overall. I know the operational challenge of hitting every mark on a busy night. The flavors on all dishes were excellent, and being asked for a salmon temp preference was a great touch. However, the kitchen missed the temps on two of four entrees: the medium salmon arrived very well-done, and a medium-well filet arrived rare.
