Updated even more below… I am the second owner of this home, bought at 10 year mark of home. "lifetime" warranty does not transfer to new owners. There "built for a lifetime" slogan should be revised. My roof (tile) started leaking, had insurance and 2 contractors come out. 1 cracked tile out of the whole roof and all said materials are in fantastic condition. I signed a contract with a JKB Broker for a rental property in Maryland. Worst mistake. Non ethical, unprofessional and more. After one year of renting, they're trying to hold my $2100 security depost. It's been over three months. I would like to give MINUS 10 stars

Recently bought my new JKB home thinking it was a quality home builder. I was way off. The warranty department is a joke. They are slow to respond to warranty requests. When they finally do respond, they will find any way possible not to make the repairs. If you are lucky enough to get the company to do a repair, they will find the cheapest way to do it with quality and craftsmanship not being the priority. If you are looking to by new home look elsewhere.
