I signed a contract with a JKB Broker for a rental property in Maryland. Worst mistake. Non ethical, unprofessional and more. After one year of renting, they're trying to hold my $2100 security depost. It's been over three months. I would like to give MINUS 10 stars
Would never purchase a home built by this company.
I am the second owner of this home, bought at 10 year mark of home. "lifetime" warranty does not transfer to new owners. There "built for a lifetime" slogan should be revised. My roof (tile) started leaking, had insurance and 2 contractors come out. 1 cracked tile out of the whole roof and all said materials are in fantastic condition. Recently bought my new JKB home thinking it was a quality home builder. I was way off. The warranty department is a joke. They are slow to respond to warranty requests. When they finally do respond, they will find any way possible not to make the repairs. If you are lucky enough to get the company to do a repair, they will find the cheapest way to do it with quality and craftsmanship not being the priority. If you are looking to by new home look elsewhere.
Bought my home from them back in 05 when they were almost at their peak price. You would think that JKB would take care of their customers when they just ripped you for $450k. NOPE, I have had many problems, but one in particular (leak in ceiling during rain) for more than 2 years now. It's difficult to get someone to come look at the problem and even more difficult for someone to actually try to fix it. This is why their is a lawsuit against this builder.
