My wife and I were first time kayakers. Joe was a fantastic teacher and made us feel comfortable right away. We had an awesome time kayaking around Cold Spring Harbor with Joe. We're looking forward to booking a trip again with Joe next year.
A Great Day with Joe Kayaking CSH. My cousin and I enjoyed the glorious day on the water with Joe teaching us then leading us on a tour of the harbor. He is a master teacher and a funny guy! He loves what he does, and he wants to share the joy with others. Thank you JK Kayak, I am sure we will be back. Let's paddle board next time around!!!
My husband booked a Sunday morning tour out of Great River for 9/13/25. Joe was a great guide and took us on a nice, easy kayak trip. We were a small group including my husband and I plus another individual. Joe went over the basics with the paddles and made sure everyone was comfortable before we got going. We are already thinking ahead to next summer and looking to keep him in mind for additional tours.
45 years ago I lost touch with a dear friend from my college days and reconnected on a kayak trip in Cold Spring Harbor in August 2025. It was a 65th birthday wish that came from a desperate attempt for some semblance in my new reality of being a widow of two years. Great kayaking trip and instruction with Joe. He is very knowledgeable about the Cold Spring area and provided a relaxing two hour experience on the water. The September day was beautiful and I am looking forward to another trip.
