Experience today at Jim’s Firearms: We walked in friendly with open and welcoming attitudes in an attempt to purchase a gun. The entire time we were in the store we were never acknowledged, never told be with you in a second, matter of fact eye contact was completely avoided. While standing in front of the gun we wanted to purchase, we watched as workers walked right past us, stood and had random and excessive conversation with other patrons, and were even ignored when we tried to call for help. had a rifle bore sighted there it hit the ground at 50 yards. whoever did that was no gun Smith. and with more workers than customers it took15 minutes to be helped
RecommendedGreat service and inventory, but one of the many guns I bought there was a Remington 700 in 300 magnum, and the handle just fell off the bolt because it was only lightly glued on apparently, so stay awaym from the Remington products.
Great local firearms store with a large selection, decent prices, and helpful employees.
They HATE Black people, very rude, half staff don’t know what’s going on, they just want to be cops and can’t so they work here to carry a gun around and feel important. They will call ATF on you and snitch if you buy a gun as a present for someone else. Terrible gun store, worse I’ve ever dealt with and I have plenty of guns. STAY AWAY, they are overpriced and there are too many other great gun stores in Baton Rouge.!

Outstanding , knowledgeable staff that went the extra mile to make a sale. Scott helped us out and was very knowledgeable about the military surplus rifle that I wanted. It was a fast and easy transaction. The next time I’m back in town I’ll definitely stop back in. Thanks for helping us out with our collection.

They could have improved service by being more cordial and respectful Not only were the two encounters with two separate service members poor, one was even a disrespectful person who wanted respect. I cannot remember his name nor is it important, but if I hand you my ID, and when you want to return it to me you see my hand and purposely set in on the table in front of me, I know you lack proper #hometraining.
