the food was good, but we waited 45 minutes to get our sandwiches, customer service was not good and bathrooms were gross.
Worst Jimmy John’s I’ve been to in a long time. Nearly 20 minutes in line, gave the people in front of me the wrong food, and my mistake for not checking mine before I left but two VERY simple sandwiches and both were wrong. Was running close to late for an appointment so I didn’t check, just wanted to get back on the road.
I was just in the drive-thru and I ordered the samething I always order. #5 Vito WITHOUT TOMATOES, add x-mayo, add x-jimmy peppers and heavy onions. I have specific things that I requested because I'm allergic to tomatoes! I literally took 2 bites and saw the biggest Tomatoe and I called to inform them of the mistake and all they said was, "I can make you a new one without Tomatoes". Not food-safe conditions. Did not stay to pick up my sandwich after paying and observing them make other sandwiches ahead of mine: 1) employee at register (who took my order while wearing gloves) handle a receipt/other non-sterile items, then begin to make a sandwich while wearing those *same gloves*. 2) an employee wipe the back of his gloved hand across his forehead, then continue to make sandwiches. This review is only for the location on 113 SE Delaware in Ankeny. One of the worst managed locations, there hasn't been drive thru ordering for several weeks with a sign on the menu board saying to order at the window so it's very slow. I order through the app to speed up things, I waited for 20 minutes at the drive thru to pickup, after I drove off I realized I was short a sandwich so I had to go back. I was very frustrating.
